Silver Work

Here’s a little gallery of some of the silver jewelry I’ve made.  Torches, hammers, saws and metal… what could be more fun.

Sheet

Forged

This bracelet was hammered from a single slug of silver.  Once it was flat I put it on my milling machine and engraved a little quote into the back of it.  I then hammered it around a small anvil to form it into a circle.

Cast

I wanted a hearty new thumb ring to wear, so I started making some drawings and came up with a spiky design that I liked.  I carved a mold out of casting wax and had a local guy cast it for me.

This is an interesting shape I sketched at some point and decided to cast into silver.  Again I made the mold out of casting wax and then cast this one myself using the equipment at a jewelry making class.
